Our Investment Portfolio Management | Horizon Financial

Biblically Responsible Investing is not just moving your money to Christian Based Money Managers.

The Horizon Financial philosophy is to look past a company's name or ownership. We actually investigate a company's philanthropy history. Our commitment is to recommend investments with companies or funds that are Pro-Life, and Pro-Family.

Our Investment Portfolio Management | Horizon Financial

Our investment policy is based on Scripture:

Psalms 24:1 "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it; the world and all who live in it."  Everything is from God, our money, our possessions, our children, etc. The things we have are from Him, making us the stewards.

Ephesians 5:11 "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."  We need to show or expose to every person who comes in our office where their (God's) money is invested.

II Corinthians 6:17 "Therefore come out from among them and be ye separate says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing and I will receive you."  God calls us to come out from the secular investment world to sell clean funds and touch no unclean thing.  When we are obedient His Word says that "I will receive you."

Psalms 1:1 "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers."  We must stay totally separate from investments that violate Biblical screens.

Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) investing has certain risks based on the fact that the criteria excludes securities of certain issuers for non-financial reasons and, therefore, investors may forgo some market opportunities and the universe of investments available will be smaller.
